The Boxer Puppy Picture

He appears proud and confident. When I drew this, I attempted to catch a look of being content to hang out on the grass, but also that “watch dog” characteristic that a Boxer can be noted for.

For example, Boxers tend to be a loyal companion, as well as protective. Therefore, we can see that the subject in this Boxer puppy picture is alert, watchful, and has a definite presence.

His owners will obviously need to keep him well-socialized from the beginning…attending puppy kindergarten is always a good idea. From my own experience, I failed to do this with my German Shepherd, which made the next two obedience classes a lot more difficult! The lesson was well-learned though...

Socializing your dog will pay big dividends later.

Fortunately, I did great helping a good friend raise her English Mastiff from a puppy to an adult. For protective breeds, such as the Boxer dog, it’s absolutely essential. Pay close attention to exposing him to lots of stimuli, take him out to learn how to sit and greet. These are all wonderful bonding experiences too in which you’ll both just love it. Ah…the future is bright indeed for the puppy in this Boxer puppy picture!
